Educational and Training
LifeCourse Strategies provides a wide array of education and training seminars. These seminars address health and social issues relevant to older adults, their families, and professionals working in aging and long-term care. Our seminars consistently receive high ratings from audiences due in part to their interactive format and our presenters' skill and knowledge of the aging field.
Topics offered include:
- Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias - participants learn the causes, symptoms, treatments, and day-to-day management of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias
- Caregiving - Rosalynn Carter's famous words, "There are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need care," highlight the relevancy of this seminar; participants learn caregiver management practices and the resources available to those caring for older adults
- Depression - this in-depth seminar reviews the most common forms of depression, their symptoms, and available treatments
- Stress Management - participants learn the physical and emotional responses to stress and how to manage their own stress more healthfully
- Happier Healthier Aging - in this seminar, participants are encouraged to reframe the "older years" as a time for renewed purpose and meaning
